I was watching BJ last night.  I know it is only Thursday but prices seem to have come wayyyy down.  Nice 70 Challenger R/T went for 25k.  Looked pretty good not sure what was up with the missing center cap on one wheel :shruggy: The 72 RR 340 car but i think it went for under 25k.  It will be interesting to see were those prime time Saturday cars will gavel :popcrn:  I would be real reluctant to put anything of mine up there :eek2:

a sublime green challenger with a 440 6 pack is one of the "fantasy bid" cars coming up for auction in a few minutes.....

bajaherbie

35,000...

not a lot of bids on it, it started at 30g and sat there a bit before people started to bid on it. not an original 440, it came from the factory with "the leaning tower of power" 6 cylinder under the hood.....

Seems like it's a bad time to sell something that isn't numbers-matching original, and at least a 440.

I'd be more interested to see how the more limited cars do, like the Hemis, the 6bbls, the aero cars, the convertibles, etc.

Nice looking 68 383 Barracuda Formula S  on right now - but it's green...

Sold for $36k - announcer expected the car to do better...

Geez.... and only $38k for a 68 Corvette convertible 427/390 car  :shruggy:

I think prices are more realistic but have not yet reached rock bottom :Twocents:

I don't think prices are going to come down much more, but I expect them to stay low for quite awhile. I've bought two classics I have always wanted in the last year for 1/2 to 1/3 or than what they were at 5 years ago. I hope the prices stay more affordable so regular people can enjoy and trade these cars!

Some ad listers ought to take note of this... I say "ad listers", as they surely will not become sellers, based upon the overall vehicle condition/asking price  :rotz:

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I agree!  I would like to see the day traders and Wall Street types leave the hobby , before we need a bailout.
