I've made just a couple of posts and thought I would introduce myself! I Just bought my 2nd Charger, the first one was destined to be a parts car. I didn't know enough about cars when I bought it to know that it was basically not salvageable. After tinkering with it for years, I decided to buy a nice one that needed little to no work. I've built a motor with my father over the last couple years and finally found a worthy recipient for it. Its an original 318 car and will soon be a 440 restomod i think is the right term? I'm told 28k actual miles not sure if thats true, but it was nice enough to buy either way! Here it is, I will have lots of questions along the way but I think I found the right site to call home!!!!!! :2thumbs:

Thanks guys, It's already in the shop back home torn apart waiting for its donor heart and new driveline. With the new heart will come new Willwood brakes and a hotchkis sport suspension. All in all im shooting to have the brakes and suspension in, in oct and the motor needs a few things yet before it goes in so hopefully march on that. :yesnod:

I'll try not to screw up the engine specs, been almost a year since the build but here it goes!  :shruggy:   It's is a 440, cylinders bored out .30, fully ballanced rotaing assembly, Kieth Black pistons and Manley rods. Hooker super-comp headers. Heads are factory iron, we had them machined and with the exception of the roller rockers I believe all components are Manley as well. Edelebrock performer intake and dual 650 carbs. Electric water pump, fans, high volume oil pump and Mopar performance ignition (may sell and buy an MSD)..... I think that's about it......I don't remember the specs on the cams but they are agressive to say the least...... :2thumbs:  Did I miss anything, let me know what you think... Im not an engine builder, just a guy with high school auto shop training and guidance from a father that raced in the 70's lol!

RKCHARGER

Also, we did test fit the motor in the parts car and it cleared the hood, BARELY! we may do a hood though just to give a tiny bit more room to breath like a 1 in cowl or something like that....To the engine guys out there any idea what this may make for power with proper tuning? I would really like to see 500+....... :shruggy:

Wow that car is so beautiful.   :drool5: Outside of my love for a 69 I would love a 70 with those colors. Very nice. Keep posting pictures.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.
