Even cooler that C5XDaytona owns it now and it is back in their family.   As interesting if not more is the fact that this car was driven cross country from California numerous times to Daytona and Talladega in the early days.  It got flogged mercilessly at Riverside Raceway track days repeatedly and embarrassed exotic machinery.   It's worn many colors.   It is the silver Daytona on far right of this well known photo.  Even as a restored car it is still not babied.  Man, if a car could talk.

They have Spoiler II's and Talladegas.   Richard and Katrina were at MMW at St Louis in 2008 and at Indy a couple months ago.

That is how we met Katrina, we were in Somerset KY and she came up to see if our car had been her's.

We have since gotten to know them both, they are really nice people and have a nice collection of cars, that link came from Richard's site.

On another note as Somerset Ky was brought up a friend has the buildsheet to the 510 Leon Jasper daytona who still has the car he bought new in Somerset.Maybe his buildsheet can be reunited to the car

Thanks everyone for the welcome, And thanks to Mopurr for calling me and letting me know about all of this. I'll try and get the story for you all and why he had to buy two cars to get it. I still have all the papers on both cars and we traced the 70 R/T down because we wanted to buy it back but it had sold about 8 years ago and was shipped over seas.

In the pics that Magnumcharger posted it looks almost like the front lawn of the house at Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven, Fl.. If it is, That is where I showed our Daytona for the first time after it was restored in 84 And that is where Car Review saw it, We got third place and the man that restored it got 2nd an 1st went to a 70 Superbird, funny thing is the same man restored all 3 cars. About 2 weeks later we showed it at a show in Lakeland, Fl where we lived and Car Review came over and started telling me of a Daytona that he had seen about 4 yrs. earlier that needed to be restored and I started laughing and he said no way this is the same car and that's when he did the story on it. By the way Nascarxx29 I still have about 6 copies of the magizine it was in.
