I saw one once, and should have bought it when I had the chance.....the hunt continues for a genII light resto........

Haha, good luck finding one! Factory black is a super rare color and even more so with a white interior. I sold mine (white vinyl top as well) last year but I had looked forever to find pictures of a finished one like it. I found a 70 and two 69s but never another 68. DS440 made a mockup for me in the Photoshop thread. I also have a bronze/white/white 68 but I do know of another like it here on the site. Of course, if you don't care about factory options you can make whatever you want out of whatever you find.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I am the lucky guy who bought Troy's factory black 68, pearl white top and interior project car; after talking with Troy and doing my own research it turns out it is a truly rare car, and it is also a factory a/c car.
I am just finishing blocking down the high build primer and then I will be shooting the black, and then adding the vinyl top. When it is in paint with the white top I will post some pics!
After finding out how unusual this color combo was in 68, I have gone with a full factory resto.

Not waiting, that one got away in'86, lol!
So I concentrated on another year, (see below), and, not waiting on "dream" numbers, just realistic ones, I won't pay 10g's for a rusty shell.
