1/4 electric chain hoist

wow!, was making a research about that and DAMN those things are really expensive!!! from $1200 to even $2K.

I don't want to begin a search for a 1 ton three phases hoist... I can't imagine the price for those

I'm interested on find two of them to the Sound Company I work ( to raise the line arrays speakers ), single phase ( 110-120 Volts ) maybe 25'-30' chain lift but affordable, if somebody knows where.

CM and Coffin which looks to be the more remarked brands looks to be really expensive :s

Nacho, I think in this case you really get what you pay for. Lifting line speaker arrays or anything for that matter requires good reliable equipment.

yeap, well is true, but that price is more logical for half or one ton, but not just for 1/4 ton... ANYTHING weights 1/4 ton. 3 average ppl weights 1/4 ton

It's sounds like you are in charge of or responsible for this purchase. It's also apparent to me that you have been in this profession for some time now. With this said, you know what to do for the safety of the crew and equipment. You'll make the right choice, I have faith in you.

well actually I can choose but the company can't pay LOL ( it's a small one ). We are working with 1 ton manual hoist and TRUST ME its a headache...

the electrical single phase hoist we want is to raise this array which is very lightweight:

( the guys on pics aren't ourself, its just a web pic I took for size reference )

we normally hang 6 speakers, maybe 9 by side as much



wen we hang the GEO T array we can rent the 3 phases electric hoist, or use the manual we have ( 2 by array ) if height is not bigger than 5 or 6 meters ( chain on our manual hoist are short )



but the GEO S8, the smaller one is the one we use the most

made a search and found a small pic of them, but it looks those could not work for the application i need, not at least without mods. They look to be hanged from beams instead using a hook on top

It's fairly easy to fabricate a hook mount on the top, problem is it hangs with the motor end low until some weight is put on the cable...then it is more level when actually lifting.

oooops, there is one detail... hoist should be reversed ( fogot about that )... motor attached to the speaker bumpers, being the chain  side attached to roof, or whatever frame on top.
