I thought it would be fun to start a tread for people to show what many don't get to see all that love we mopar freaks put under the hood.

Nice Darren! I see chrome valve covers, did you install them or were they on the engine already? My 69 440 has chrome valve covers, coil cover, pulley and breather cap. The OO I bought the car from told me it was a "dealer install". I have all the docs for the car including the window sticker, build sheets etc but there is no mention of this engine dress up. What's the deal?
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

This one I can do... Not together yet, but parts sitting together. Short block is done. Hopefully this coming spring.

Howdy, the car came complete. I rebuilt the engine with the help of a Harley mechanic friend. He has a count with Edelbrock so he gets dealer discount so I went ahead and put the Edelbrock top end kits on which includes, heads, cam and intake. The Valve cover are actually MOPAR performance aluminum cover that I polishes and painted to match the block. I tried to keep as much as I could factory correct cause I will mostly put all the origanal components back on in ten years after I burn through a couple of sets of tires :)

Cooter

A little dirty, but it still carries the mail...

Here's a '69 RoadRunner I did for my buddy in Lacrosse Wis. With 440..

Probably dealer installed from the old Hustle Stuff cat. I don't remember coil bracket or pulleys being in there.

Here is the latest version of the race 383 on the break-in stand.

A valuable lesson I learned from Asphalt Paving Crews is to always throw a couple of sandwiches on the engine so they are nice and toasty by lunch. In this case, Arby's Roast Beef.  :drool5:

From my coworker's 68 RT I restored for him.  Number's matching, he bought it new in 1968! :2thumbs:  We upgraded the A/C to R134a, but other than that, all stock.
