:drool5:  I had a converted Metal Flake Red "Manx" bodied, 68 VW w/1600 Dual Port w/Judson Blower, down draft Webber & extractor equipped "dune buggy", N50's on the rear & 595's up front, all on Halibrand Slot wheels way back in the late 70's, I loved driving it in the summer time, fun & fast as hell, but  it was brutal in the winter time, even in California... I used it to commute in, for a couple of years while I was working at an Ice Plant in Concord area, while going to school at a local JC, I had very little to no money... Also it was perfect for off roading/wheeling , it would go any were almost...

Neat !!!! Was'nt there a car like that on one of those Sid and Marty Kroft shows????Where it used to transform from a junk to a wild buggy???

Don't remember if it was a junker but I do recall the show.

I want the same thing & was eyeing a metalic green one but it went for close to 15K and WAY out of my price range.

I always wanted on too.  Go to ebay now and buy a old Cox Dune buggy gas car. I had a bunch of those as a kid.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I had the Cox trike in candy apple red...but I was three...a little to young to appreciate it.  The neighbor kids had a bunch of them so I got one for Xmas.

I am not divorced, but have bad habit of buying vehicles without telling my Wife  :icon_smile_dissapprove:  So far it includes a 1981 Lancer sailboat and my Charger.  It's ebay man...all the pretty pictures...  :drool5:

Ok, so these are made from VW bugs platforms?  Or are they kit cars with VW motors in them?   :shruggy:
