Here's some pics from our cruise Saturday. The numbers are dwindling as the weather gets colder, but we're still hangin' on.

The Imperial is 1 of one. It was custom built around '56 or so for the Chairman of Chrysler. He said pretty much everything from the firewall back is custom and hand made. This car is beyond perfect...just stunning. He has quite a few similar big Chryslers.

Anybody know the make of those wheels on that white Boss 302? I've seen those on other mustangs..factory option or shelby wheel?

Brock Samson

"Minilites" all the trans am racers ran them and many furrin makes ran them as aftermarket from the late '60s thru the mid '70s.. they just look s right on a 302.   :yesnod:

You're welcome. It was a light turnout that night. On a good Saturdy night that place will get 300-400 cars.  :2thumbs:

I found this article about the Imperial. Interesting read...

Nice pics, Bob!
BTW, the owner of that Chrysler is Chip Lorry, he's standing in your 2nd photo down wearing the light gray t-shirt. He is friends with my Dad.
I've heard many stories about the resto of that car, the most interesting was how the inside rear view mirror was acquired (it's a one-off piece). Turns out, it was removed at some point during one of the car's sales, the owner's wife liked it as it resembled jewelry & wanted to keep it!
Latest word on the street was that he is considering selling it. Rumor I heard was that Chip turned down a cool million for it...  :scratchchin:

Funny you should mention that. I overheard a conversation between Chip and a woman standing there and the "M" word was mentioned, but I didn't get details.

He lives very close to the Chatterbox and he frequently switches out cars during the night. He'll leave and come back a while later with another equally stunning car. Livin' the life baby!  :yesnod:
