Hi.
I was wondering if any of you have tryed to break in a newbuild engine in a engine cradle.
I´ve heard that you should not leave the engine for more than 5 days after you have build it ( Cam lubricant )
So i was thinking i could use some old headers and not risk my new ceramic coated tti´s.
Maybe something gets wrong and you don´t have to take the motor out of the car :o.
Any tips/tricks

I would try posting the question in the engine/trans section of the site.  You'll get more responses there on that topic.

I'm gonna leave this one here for obvious reasons.

I like the firewall connector relocation.  That is gonna be one "smooth operator"

Great looking Charger! I love what you are doing for it.

I am going to answer your question with a question. Ever heard of Motoman? I have friends that have used this procedure with great success. In a nutshell he suggests to run the engine hard following a set procedure to seat the rings and bearings. It was intended for motorcycle engines but also applies to cars engines. He syas it can be done on a Dyno. I have friend that broke in his brand new FJR this way. It is an awesome bike. Link below. Read up.

By the time you rig up an ignition and cooling system and perhaps some kind of stand to keep it off the air cleaner, wouldnt it just be easier to pull the intake and freshen the cam lube when you get around to installing it ? Nice project !

PS - Where does the wiper motor go on your car?

Wow great looking car, I love customised to modern muscle cars. Btw even though I don't care much for the hood it looks very nicely done. Hand made? Is it fibre glass or metal?
