gateway is going to open for the weekend to run 1 race. its for  the inner track. cart racing. at least its a positive. the guy buying is paying out over 5 mil when its all said and done. the aluminum seating is worth 7 mil in scrap pricing, so its already a good deal. (it isnt getting scrapped) second of all is a rumor that people have started living closer to kansas city race track and complaining about the noise????? paul says the city is taking it over eminant domain and dozing it and making a park???? its all rumor to me right now, but he says he is heading up there to race this weekend cuz it only has 3 weeks left and then its gone. :shruggy:

It amazes me that people move close to a track and then bitch about the noise.  It's the same thing here by where I live.  They built all these expensive houses around a golf course that is less than a 1/4 mile from Elko Speedway.  Some of the people bitch about the noise from the track.  Why would you move there in the first place?  It's not like it was some hidden thing that wasn't disclosed when they bought the house.  You have to pass right by the track to get into the neighborhood.  Effin' Clowns if you ask me.

People dont think about it when they move in.  I live about 1.5 miles from a dirt track they run on Wed and Sat.  They were never running when we looked at the house.  We got used to it.  Infact they stoped running for the winter and I have problems getting to sleep on Wed and saturday without the track noise

I was thinking the same thing when I started to read this, too many tracks in Ca. closed, because of the tree huggers or idiots that moved near a race track then complain about the noise....
