Fan Spacer

When I purchased the 73, it had an aftermarket aluminum fan blade on it with the spacer attached.
I have since purchased an original blade and clutch for it, along with original radiator.
However I got the spacer later and I'm not sure if it is correct.
What size should the spacer be on a 73 - 400HP w/air and clutch? The one I have is 1 7/8".
And (probably a dumb question) is it painted or natural color?

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong here...but I don't think a spacer is used with a fan clutch....all of mine that have a clutch fan bolts directly up to water pump with the pulley in-between
