Yes, after 3 years of being a non home owner, sold my last home in 08 before the crash, I just closed on my 2nd house today.

Got a loan 3.6% for 15 years on a total rehab, completely remodeled, needs nothing, quite place in Overland Park KS.  ;D

As you may recall, I left KS in 09 for my home town San Diego. I sold both my chargers and basically every thing I had.

It was the worst move I ever made, then I worked out of out of Needles Calif for about 7 months, only to return to MO completely broke.

I met Mr. Mrs. Skip68, 69bronzeT5, Chargersteve, along with others at the Mopars at the Strip.

Time to buy a Charger? well not just yet. I'll be debt free in 4 years, actually 2 years but I still have a little car payment to go.

I've had 1 68, 2 69's I'll be intrested in a 70 500 4-speed. I think I'll be happy with and will never sell a Mopar again.  :2thumbs:

Yep, well done for buying a house, beats the hell out of paying someone else's mortgage with your rent money.
Sounds like a good rate 3.6% for 15years , at least you know what your payments will be.
Our interest rates vary a bit, a list out of this weekends newspaper has
Floating; from around 5.5% - 6.3%
Fixed 1yr 5.75% - 6.95%
Fixed 2yr 6.2% -6.95%
Fixed 5yr 7.4% - 7.9%

I just came off floating and fixed for 18mths at 6.18% , fairly average. But when we brought this place over 6 years ago, the best rate we could get was 7.6%, but our equity has increased considerably with the surge in land/house value in this area since then, which is good for us.

Rates were terrible back a generation ago when there was little competition between the banks , a friend of mine was 22 years old in 1986 and paying 22%!!!. My parents were paying around 20% interest on their farm back then, pretty hard going to make it then.

By the way, what is Kansas Mafia about??, I see it on a few sigs, just wondered
