my 69 was in a front end wreck over 10 years ago and im getting ready to paint the grille, i noticed the ribs on the bottom side are all separated, but are all still there. This is my first real project car so I'm all sorts of backwards not knowing what to do or what will work.

question is: whats the best way to put those back together? should I get some really good super glue.. (knowing after normal road use wear n tear they will eventually separate again sooner than later) or get someone to plastic weld them, and does anyone think having them Plastic Welded will work?  :shruggy:

Thanks in advance guys!

Go down to your local auto body supply store. Perhaps bring a part of the grille with you (headlight door, etc), just so they can see the type of plastic you want to repair. Yep, there are different adhesives for different plastics.

I would use a good bonding adhesive designed for plastic repair, such as from 3M or Fusor. You will pay more for this up front, however not end up paying for it later.

Good luck!
