Trying to decide what color to paint my 71 Duster.  I am leaning towards Sublime because I kinda miss the SuperBee.  Did they have Sublime available on the 71 Duster?

Sublime (FJ5) - 70 only

But Sassy Grass (FJ6) looks sweet on any body!

Troy

Sell the Duster. Use the money to travel with Daytona and Challenger. All will be well. At this point I'd be more than happy to have two nicely finished cars and money in the bank.

My pic of color also

BIGBLCK11

Just snapped this pic a week ago.  I thought this Demon looked great in blue, looks like B5.  It would be even better with the hood in black.

like demons / dusters in  FC7  plumb crazy  or  sassy grass green FJ6 , with the factory stripes !! ( although look good in all colors  :coolgleamA:   )

rt green

petty blue with the side stripes would be good

Green looks great...but I think it would get old fast...plus everyone seems to be doing it.  I ran a picture search on google and nearly every duster that came up was green.

I love the black hood with the big "340 Wedge" call out on dusters.  Don't know what you have under the hood though.  My new 340 is running sweet!   :coolgleamA:

A couple different colors for you...but I should talk.  I plan to paint my 73 charger B5, but it has a blue interior and will be done with a white roof and white 71 RT stripe.  I do love a 3rd gen in butterscotch though!  And to me it is always cool to see a classic car in a popular "new" color.  How about painting it the new challenger color...toxic orange pearl...with black accents?

Uh, no. There will never be a Duster in my garage. It's doubtful that I'd even park one outside. There are probably 500 cars on my "wish list" that I'd need to buy before even considering it. Not to mention I'm still trying to sell off at least three more of the ones I have left.

I would sell it if I could get $4,000 with the 318 only and $5,500 with a spare 340.  The market now just makes it tough to sell.  I do enjoy working on a project and seeing junk turn into treasure.  The problem is after doing this a few times, as I have told many on here, don't restore them to sell!  You can't get the money back out that you put in let alone the time.  Car 4k, paint and body 2.5 k, interior 1k, machine work on 340 1k, chrome 1k, misc battery parts replaced you thought were good and stripe kit 1.5k and you have over 10k as a estimate with several hundred hours and thats conservative.  I have never had a project cost less than a estimated.  I have seen some very nice 340 dusters that could be had for under 10k, and you can get in and enjoy with out the hundrets of hours spent blooding knuckles!

the good thing about this resto is that you already have beautiful mopars to cruise and show so there is no pressure. you can take your time and still drive to all the happenings in a sweet ride. also you have the club house so it doesnt take up the whole garage with spare parts and disasembled what-nots. you have the right setup for tackling this job. :2thumbs:

I don't think I would paint any car panther pink unless that was the original color, but I bet there arent many panther pink cars out there.  Does any one have any pics of gun metal cars?

Here is a Gunmetal Demon I used to have. Crappy pic. That color looks different under every condition. It can look gray, green or blue depending...

I prefer those hood scoops to the purple ones, but I dont know if the 340 wedge decal on the hood willl fit with the dual scoops.  I love the interior on the purple one.  Would be great if I could get the Twister tornado embroidried on the seats.

car was stunning in person and i dont really like A body's , it won alot of awards

I don't really care about awards.  I just don't want to have the car painted and see 4 or 5 others the same color, or wish after a few years I had painted it another color :brickwall:  I do know it won't be black.  I have to admit, Plumb crazy looks crazy good on a Duster :shruggy:

i love seeing the purple cars at the shows, but mine was original purple car that i went burnt orange for the same reason. too many purple chargers showing up and i didnt want to be a copy cat. also when i seen this color in a paint book i fell in love with it. ;D what about a darker grey than the gun metal?
