Went to a car show in Kalispell Mo. over the weekend.  Drove back to Spokane WA. via parts of Montana and Idaho.  70 and 75mph posted limits don't mean much in Montana.  Put on an old 'Steppenwolf' disc and was transformed back to 1968 while blasting through the countryside.  When I got onto I90 going west there was a late model Porche that wanted to play.  The G/V overdrive provides a 2.76 ratio that allows the car to play with Porches, so we had fun for many miles.  Usually just running at 85 or so and then blasting well into the triple digits on occasion.  When we hit the twisties I had to let him go though.  Also ran up on a new Challenger R/T that seemed interested in some spirited driving, but he had his wife with him, so that didn't last too long.  All in all a great drive.  The engine pulling in gobs of air through the K&N filters, the dyno max ultra flows making that beautiful howl.  That's just what it's all about boys......  Bob

What kind of gas mileage do you get with the gear vendors overdrive?  I need one.

I checked when gassing up at St. Maries (about 100 miles from Kalispell) and it was right at 13mpg.  That was probably averaging 75 to 80mph.  I don't know how much better I would have done going slower because I have a high stall converter (3600rpm) and the faster I go the happier it is.  Bob
