 if no luck sourcing  one !!   maybe you use a male & female or two male joints with a adjuster sleeve !!   Heim/rose  joint ,  these are really strong  , used on race car  axle location bars & stuff  ,
any race car /kitcar builder parts place would or should sell them ! , i have small ones, rightish  size !  on a shcmaker (spelling) torque strap that would do the job !
 no offence to sorry to say !  but ,  whats been made in your picture  ,  although prolly is strong , to the outsider looking  at it !!  looks iffy  , dangerous !!

Thanks for the link, it's a good idea to do it like this.  I know it looks dangerous, but i bought the car like this and that's the reason why i want change it.
