71 b-body charger

I need another way to get the rear window trim off both my 71 charger im restoring and my 74 parts car my uncle had me cut a notch into a butter knife and showed me how to pop the clips out but it wont work its stubern! Can anyone give me a better idea?

This is the type I use:

Yes, it does not say specifically that it is for Mopar, but works perfect on your cars window trim clips (front and rear). You slide it along until it hits the clips, pry slightly to pull the clips away from the trim and pop the trim out. Then move onto the net clip. If you are gentle enough and the clips are not rusty, they can be left in place to put the trim back in.

That's the one I used on mine, but I had to sharpen the points a little by drinding the outer, slightly rounded edges. Worked ok as it came on the windshield moldings, but I had more trouble on the back glass. Mine had extra sealant in there too that made it even more difficult. Just keep working at it from the ends of each piece of molding, while lifting GENTLY on the molding itself. They are easy to bend, but mine finally came off with only slight bending. Nothing I won't be able to save and reuse.

Patience is key in getting these off without hurting them!!!  :2thumbs:
