Before I take my screwdriver and hammer I thought I ask how do you remove this connection (see photo) for inspection? Do each plugs come out or does the whole connection get removed as one unit? My car still is popping fuseable links every time I connect the battery. I'm getting voltage to the starter relay but somewhere there is a short. I thought if I removed this connection and the link does not blow the problem is under the dash. If it does blow it is a problem under the hood. Thanks

You have a few plugs there. Just squeeze the ears with your fingers and wiggle each one out. Each one only goes back in one way so you don't need to worry about mixing them up.

Just take a good pic so you can put the wiring back neatly  - like it has been for all these years.

won't be rare the ears will break out, but repro are availables ( the harder to find is the front light harness plug )

will need to wiggle them back and forth, up and down with ears pressed a liitle bit.
