Surprised you guys don't have an 'introduce yourself' category. I see that on some other vehicle forums. Just figured I'd say hi and introduce anyway. Just finishing up a 3 year resto on a '47 dodge coe and starting to look into my next project. Joined this forum to learn more about 68 rt's specifically. Already learned quite a bit from reading all your posts. looking forward to learning more over the coming months.
Thanks for the great info!  :2thumbs:

Thanks. Yeah, there's a lot of info here. And hopefully when the time comes I can get some of you to help me price check. I've met plenty of dishonest sellers out there that think they are selling barret jackson gold or something. Anyway, at the risk of being off topic, the project I'm finishing up is the same you have pictured there. You can see all the resto pics I have here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/15695344@N00/sets/72157624030628195/

I did a frame off on it, and have scoured the lower 48 for original parts. Met a lot of good people through the process. A lot of time and effort went into getting it back to original condition. A lot of people have never even seen one before, and I get a kick out of their excitement. But, now as I'm looking at space opening up on my barn floor and thinking more and more that there needs to be a charger sitting there. For me, oddly, I enjoy the restoration process most and the longer it takes the better. I tell my wife its the best therapy money can buy. And I've wanted some big muscle in the barn for a while. The coe's rated 87 hp is great for a 5mph parade (and it would probably pull a house) but stepping on the gas doesn't really excite the senses. I want to get into some real engine work and feel that the time is getting near so I better buckle down and start studying  :icon_smile_big:

Thanks guys. I did notice at least one or two of you were in southern nh. I'd love to check out your cars in person and bend your ear about them if you are close by some time. As for the COE, i've given some thought to putting a roll back bed on it. Most guys that do that have an antique cab sitting on a modern rv or truck frame though. But as long as I kept it under 30 the steering wouldn't be too dicey. I think I've got 32 leafs in the rear springs so weight probably isnt an issue. Might even smooth out the ride (no shocks) :eek2: but I'd need to go over the weight rating numbers again, its been a while.
