Yeap, I know that car.. I didn't think in a million years it would surface again or the owner (that I know) would have sold it or placed under consignment.. Wow !!!!!  From my recollection, that puppy was darn complete.....

EDIT:  Just found out why it's for sale with them. My friend who owned it I just found out when contacting the "now-owner" passed away back in June..   Sad day for me........   :(

RIP Ron, you were a good and model man, husband and dad :engel016:

What's not to like, it's a Hemi Superbird  :2thumbs:
Actually, it's the price tag... $175K  :eek2:
Not sure if that's going to be the price the market will bear right now, but not sure with the column auto and needing body work / paint , I'd pay $175K as is.
I'd love to get it completely road worthy and tune up and drive the hell out of it as is  though ... :icon_smile_wink:
Just not for that kind of coin...

I think it's a fair price--even if you sank $100,000 into a full-bore restoration it would be worth more on the exit.

Aren't there at least 2 Hemi 4 Speed Superbirds for sale for around $285K ?  You think a column auto would be worth almost as much if you had $275K into it?  Guess I'm just not feeling the love at that price...

most likely not restored to that level.  but hey--have it another way.  if you sank $50k into the car don't you think it would be worth $225k?

it's not a screaming bargain but at least they're asking what the car would be worth if you figured in the restoration costs, unlike a $50k 440 'bird...

It's a no-go........ Nothing ventured, nothing gained................. Not that I have a lot to gain in relation to what I ALREADY have.. :)  Maybe I can just slap a 426 in my Daytona and just call it a day... lol

Didn't yours already have a 426 in it at one time?  What kind of wacky wedge/hemi/wedge/hemi hokey pokey are you trying to do?

And I am truly sorry to hear of your friend's passing.

Yeap, would look good.. Did look good.......... I"ll save the manual conversion to the C500.........  I'll just rechrome the original "HEMI" badges from my '68, fill in the backside with apoxy with a magnet inside and gingerly place them on the door..  :D
