Tilar

That thing with the chain links almost looks like it could be whats left of a pair of tire chains. That piece is similar to what would be the end that locks the chains together.

God must love stupid people; He made so many.

Maybe remnants of some handcuffs? Love old westerns towns like that. The sluice boxes were in pretty good shape. Wonder how many body's have been dumped down that old mine shaft? That old blue camper is really something. What make/year do you think it is? Love to see the inside and what was considered a comfy mobile home back in the day. Thanks!!!
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

skip68

I'll look into the old camper when I go back in 4-6 weeks.  As for the chain, the first thought I had was old cuffs
/shackles.   They are ooooold and hand made.  I was hoping to find the rest of the pocket watch.   There are so many mines out there it's crazy.

Some of that would make for some really good lawn art.

This is another cool ghost town to visit if your ever in the area which is the middle of no where.

That blue Camper is a Packard - probably done 30-40 years ago, that style didn't come into play till the early '60s.

Fred

On one of our trips to the USA we visited a Ghost Town called Jerome (not too far from Sedona). No ghosts, just plenty of tourists.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

I'm familiar with Jerome in Arizona. But never been there. Let me know if you find any old Beer Cans. I collect them. LEON.

A bit? (horse bridle) Lots of different types.......

skip68

I've been told it's part of a trace harness from around 1860's to 1880's.

I went to Bodie with the family in the Mid 80s and it absolutely captured my imagination. One of, if not the most memorable parts of that trip.  :2thumbs: One of these days I will go back out there.
