Its a spoofsite! They must have stolen an Ebay user. In Ebay it says that its ended, and when you click on see relisted item it jumps to a site outside Ebay(and the item number changes) and my Accont Guard says "you are not on Ebay" soo i reported it there, that scam was really well made...

Its been on ebay at least 5 times in the last 2 days, and even more than that in the past.  The auctions have gone back and fourth from regular auction to private auctions with a different user id each time.  SOB

sharpspike

there are 3 more on ebay right now for challenger's and cuda's. all say email me before you bid or face neg feedback, of course my ebay mail is not working so use this one. 2 hemi's and one convertible. all show quality all below $7000. they put them up faster than ebay can take them down.

i wonder how much they actually make at this.

Blakcharger440

Nice car! I wonder whose it really is?

This same car has popped up 3 different times in the last 24 hours.  This scammer does not know when to stop.

69_500

I'll give them this much. At least their scam add, has more pictures, and a way better description than the ebay add for the HEMI 4 door from Canada.

Anyone know who's car that really is? Gorgeous ride. HEMI, 4 speed, hmmm, does it get much better than that?

69Charger500

So what is the point of them doing this?  How do they benefit from it?  Or do they just have too much time on their hands?

69_500

They can benefit from someone agreeing to the buy it now price, and then taking the money and running.

69Charger500

Oh....

That is not good...

I could not buy a car without looking at it personally, but I guess these days it happens!

I could not buy a car without looking at it personally, but I guess these days it happens!

Their hook on deals like this is to appeal to a person's greed.  If a guy knew good and well that a Hemicar would be worth many, many, MANY times the Buy-It-Now price -- even if it were actually in very poor condition -- he might be tempted to jump on a B-I-N deal without doing any legwork.  Their greed would blind them from being sensible.  These scammers prey on the fact that some folks would willingly "take advantage" of the poor seller's need to get rid of a car quickly by buying it sight-unseen.  If they put a reasonable price on a car like that, people would want to see all kinds of verification of the car's authenticity, and would probably want to see it in person before buying it.  Scammers want you to believe this is the deal of the century, and that you had better jump on it before someone else does.

Two old addages apply here:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I agree about if they put a reasonable buy it now price people would want to know if its numbers matching and such. But with a buy it now of being so low, some people have so much money they look at the chance to make thousands, and if that means they get burned a few times that is fine, as long as in the long run they get that one car for a bargin basement price to make it all back.
