Charger 500 Stock Car Replica

I was looking through my June 2000 issue of Mopar Collector's Guide and came across this ad for the Mopar Atlantic Nationals.  I noticed a really good looking C500 Stock Car replica in the ad.  I REALLY like the way this car looks.  Does anyone know anything about this car or have any other pictures of this car?  If I build my C500 clone into a stock car replica, this is kind of the route I would like to go with it.

The picture in the link is BEFORE the wreck by about 4 hours  on the way home from Carlisle and the E-town flyer is the same car

Two words......... AWE--SOME!   I love the look of that car.  The is pretty much what I would like to do.  I love that color combo but I have a different combo in mind.  Now that leads me to a few questions about the car.  Are those steel fenders or glass?  On the hood... when you remove the framing like that, is the hood extra flimsy? I notice the springs were removed from the hinges but it just seems like it would be very delicate to open and close.

The fenders are steel. The left one  got the front of it shoved up under the bumper of a Blazer in the infamous wreck and now it is parts of two fenders. The right one got backed into by a  U Haul truck and stuffed the front in and I repaired that one. The hood is steel and  had been in an accident and bent the center front down in such a fashion that it was junk so I cut the frame of it out and it repaired easily.  Both L. & R. front corners of the hood have cracked in the thinnest spot of the skin which need to be reinforced before it goes on the 500 replica.  You might be better off with a glass hood as it might be stronger around the edge.   Hemi Dog thanks for posting the pix. as it is one of the better ones of it.   Al
