While changing the trans fluid and filter in my 2007 Ford F150 Lariat 4x4, I came upon a disturbing finding. I got the truck last year with I think 26,000 miles and changed the trans fluid when I got it with Mercon 5 and the appropriate filter. I generally change the trans fluid and filter at every 24,000 miles which is under the recommended 30,000 miles. What would cause this or what might be getting ready to fail on me?  These chunks were not there the first time I changed the fluid and filter.  Truck presently has 48,700 miles on it.  Fortunately, it has a basic power train warranty till 60,000 miles and I have an extended warranty good through 74,800 miles.  My plans are to bring the chunks (which I saved) and a saved sample of the trans fluid to them and ask what they are going to do to fix it!  Is there anything in particular that I should look for or be wary of?
