Do you have to remove the front and rear glass to install a new top?

yes to do the job properly thats the only way !!  the revel stainless trim clips are  fitted after the top is on !  vinyl is sandwiched between  roof  & a screwed on (revel )moulding clip

but  there is a real sleezy was to fit a vinyl too with out taking the glass out !! but i'm not going there , should never be done in my opinion ,

The vandalism damage done to your car should be covered with your comprehensive coverage under your insurance.
Have a rep come look at your car. You'll have to explain to him all what is involved in replacing the top on these cars.

ALL the surround moldings will need to be removed, including the glass moldings, and then the glass. The other Charger roof script will also need to be removed. This could include dropping rear the section of your headliner, which will also involve disassembling some of your interior.
Once this is all done, then the top can finally be removed.

It's an uphill climb, hang in there!
