Has anyone got a decent Vega rear hatch they aren't going to use or know of one ????    If the numbers line up I am going to pull the trigger and  do a C-500  riplicar stocker from the 68 parts car I have. What will determine it will be the available parts.  thanks

I LOVE the idea of a C500 stock car clone!  Heck, I've even been kicking around the idea of doing the same thing.  The main thing keeping me back is that my car has VERY nice original fenders and I'd hate to cut them up.... if I got my hands on a pair of fiberglass fenders.... then I would be more tempted.  Anyways, I think it's a great idea.  Will you decal the car up to replicate a vintage racer or basically just go for the stance of a stock car?

Probably will decal it.  Its also getting a full roll cage, race seat, fuel cell,  quarters modified. I haven't decided on a motor yet  as a Hemi is  $-WAY out of reach. The nose on my 500 is going on the stocker so the 500 goes back stock.

There's a whole Vega sitting on 137th in Manhattan. Decent, solid shape at that... :2thumbs:

That reminds me, this past Saturday I took a ride to Middletown, NY where I saw 2 Vega hatchbacks parked at 2 different locations. You never see these things anymore let alone 2 in the same area on the same day. Both were in very nice shape, & not parts cars or projects. Funny thing though, the first thing I looked at driving past was whether they were hatchbacks, then I'd look to see if the hatch was in good shape & not the ones with the vents.   (one had vents, one didn't)
