Hey 68 bullit, I was in stratford a couple weeks ago and noticed that 68 charger painted like the general lee with no wheels on top of a van. ( i took some pics) you must have seen that by now, Do you know the deal with that thing?

Jer
a friend at work was out looking at it and asked the guy what he wanted for it he said $4,200.Its a  383 auto black inside.I think i,m going to have a look at it myself though because everyone says that car has been sitting out there for years in the grass and the guy just recently put it on top of that van and put the dukes stickers on it for advertising.Even if the frame is rotted it would still make a good parts car.I,ll let you know what the guy says when i have a look at it.

I have some pics of that "billboard" somewhere. I took them not long after they put it up on the van.

Mark actually went and dug some info up on that thing. He told me there was a huge lien on the car. Something like $15000.

Another piece of info that I got from my brother in law (who lives out in Sebringville just west of that place) is that it belonged to someone who had passed away and the little old lady that ended up owning it brought it and some E-Bodies in for work but then never paid for the work.
I don't how much of that is true, though.
Another version says the cars were brought in by someone and then he passed away. The surviving widow wanted nothing to do with them and wouldn't pay the bill. Apparently, she went a little crazy and won't talk to anyone about the cars.

From your post, it sounds like the shop figured something out and is in a position to deal it.

That car was in the weeds for a LONG time. I remember the first time I saw it, I couldn't look underneath it because it was almost sitting on the frame rails.
