Yep.......he use to live a block from me in Sharon.... just outside Newmarket(about 30 min dead north of downtown Toronto)

I have lived here for 8 years......I remember seeing him bring home a Charger about once a month. You would see a parts car or project car go in the garage and about 2 weeks later you would see him hauling off the carcass..

Me! I'm in St. Catharines - about 10 minutes away from NF.

As for the other areas of ON, my job takes me from Whitby to Windsor and everywhere in between.

Shakey, about the guy in Peterborough, are you thinking of the "Charger Guy"? Because that's not Bob. That's Mark. While Mark does his share of parting out, it's appropriate. Most I've seen him tear apart are already half-crushed. I have some of the parts for my car.
He rebuilds the good cars or sells them off to fund his projects. He's the guy that was selling the brown HEMI 500 a while back.

im in mississauga, i,ve met both those guys ..bob wants an arm and aleg and a couple of your kids  for parts sometimes but a very nice guy... mark also a nice guy see him at car shows everyonce and  a while
did he sell that 500 ?   what did he get for it ?

MetallicA

i live in toronto and my grandparents live up in port perry, would you guys have an email for this parts guy? is he like ok to deal with or dose he rip people off? lol i want a charger but i almost found out the wrong way that in collecting mopar there are many snakes in the grass lol cough "hlpag", im a member of the cglfc and he was a reguler there dishing out crap to people with hich hopes and big pockets, its kinda sad but there will always be people like that out there

He did sell it. Not sure what he got for it, but he's a very happy guy and moved on to a project car which is almost done.
Last I heard the 500 went to a guy in Seattle.

Now I think I know who Bob is. I haven't met him but the guy that did the work on my car mentioned him a few times.

The best way to get a hold of Mark is through eBay. He and his wife always have something posted. Flower seeds and Charger parts....
their eBay handle is http://members.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=maggieandguppy

I think Mark is a great guy. If I ever need anything, I let him know. If he doesn't have it, he'll keep an eye out for it and will always contact me when he has a new batch of parts to see what I'm looking for.

Chargeraddict

Nice to see all you fellow Canadians, I live near London Ontario.
;D

If you guys ever buy the tri ad you will know Bob, he is the only one selling charger parts usually. A few years ago I ventured 3 hours to go to his house(Sharon) to look into buying a 69 project car. He told me it was pretty solid, and almost all there minus motor/tranny. I got there it was TOTALLY stripped, he had taken the fenders off and put some horrible fibreglass fenders on and the trunk and a lot of the floor was all rotted out. Then he took me inside the house and showed me all his parts which I could buy for the car. I recognized the orange fenders and a lot of the other parts that looked like they had recently been stacked there. Anyways he wanted way to much so I left heart broken. Ive called him a few times since then to ask about parts but hes never in my price range. Hes also beat me countless times to project chargers all around south western Ontario....Im not bitter though :'(

I met Mark at the moparfest show this year, He bought the other chargers that came up here from the u.s with mine.  I told him about this website so Im sure hes probably a member now.

Do any of you guys have any 68 Charger parts for sale? Im in need of a driver side fender and pass side door too maybe ,the one I bought kinda sucks once I stripped all the paint and bondo off of it. I need all kinds of other little stuff too. I myself have an extra hood(lots of surface rust) and a beat up lower valance thats not rusty , 727 BB tranny and some extra chrome and little stuff. Feel free to message me, I need all the help I can get too ;)

could i have his # pleas, i just want to know if he has any decent 68-70 project chargers in a pricerange from maby $4500 or less

Chargeraddict

Metallica, keep an eye on the tri ad you can buy it at any gas station or convienience store, they advertise in there.

My advice though, you will be hard pressed to find a decent project 68-70 charger these days for that kind of money (canadian funds) If you do find somthing it will be like what I bought for 3500 - A complete basket case with lots of rust. But if you have a welder, lots of time, a place to store it and some good fabricating/body skills than you might be ok. Im a year now on mine, the shell is almost done but im still missing some parts.

Ya Shakey what did ya think of that, I grabbed some info on the car when I was there just because I want to rescue the damn thing. Its actually in very restorable shape. I emailed the shop where the car is and got no response, but I do have the number of the shop, as well as the number for perth auto recyclers (the name on the van the charger is sitting on) I figure its some kind of cheesy billboard for them.

If there is no indoor storage it is probably the best spot for it.  Driving by at 100 km/h I too thought it was in pretty good shape.  Cheesy billboard - that's marketing man!  Got your attention as well as mine.   :yesnod:

a friend at work was out looking at it and asked the guy what he wanted for it he said $4,200.Its a  383 auto black inside.I think i,m going to have a look at it myself though because everyone says that car has been sitting out there for years in the grass and the guy just recently put it on top of that van and put the dukes stickers on it for advertising.Even if the frame is rotted it would still make a good parts car.I,ll let you know what the guy says when i have a look at it.

It really depends whats under that orange paint, it appears restorable, but I would be leary about paying that much for it, since it was probably a quick mop and glow. I could definetly use some parts off of it. A few of us should buy it for parts and tear it down, instead of letting mother nature tear it down for us. :icon_smile_wink:

id be game for that, also dose anyone know of any good mopar junkyards around the port perry/scugog area?

Moparfest.....did I here someone mention moparfest.  That's my only goal for my charger this year.  Get in on the road to make it to moparfest.  Last year I had to leave it in the garage and just go and look.  I think I'll make it up this year.  I'm only about 25 minutes away in Kitchener.  If anyone sees a rough looking 69 rt (metallic orange) stop by and say hi.  Good to see we have so many local owners online.
No, it ain't a Hemi.....thank God!

We should all be posting pics of our cars.

My Charger won,t be ready for Moparfest this year but i,ll be there.I,m only 20 minutes away from there.I,ll be looking for parts and checking out the cars also it,s the 40th anniversary of the Charger this year so i hope they do something special for that.

I have some pics of that "billboard" somewhere. I took them not long after they put it up on the van.

Mark actually went and dug some info up on that thing. He told me there was a huge lien on the car. Something like $15000.

Another piece of info that I got from my brother in law (who lives out in Sebringville just west of that place) is that it belonged to someone who had passed away and the little old lady that ended up owning it brought it and some E-Bodies in for work but then never paid for the work.
I don't how much of that is true, though.
Another version says the cars were brought in by someone and then he passed away. The surviving widow wanted nothing to do with them and wouldn't pay the bill. Apparently, she went a little crazy and won't talk to anyone about the cars.

From your post, it sounds like the shop figured something out and is in a position to deal it.

That car was in the weeds for a LONG time. I remember the first time I saw it, I couldn't look underneath it because it was almost sitting on the frame rails.
