A nice tight cram fitting this in there as well... Shame I can't take any of the credit for the job... But I'm still pretty proud of it!

hehehe.... all the orange Chargers have to jump them at the finish line.

My other custom work ride (if you call rat rods custom work) - 1960 Plymouth 2-door Suburban Wagon, original /6 3-speed tree US Atomic Energy Commission Car. Torched off the front frame rails and built a custom dropped 2x4 frame with Aspen suspension, hot old school 383, 4-speed, 3.91 sure-grip and 8-3/4 axle from a 67 coronet R/T, red flake steering wheel, narrowed front bumper, huge shifter with a home-cast brass Hurst T-shifter, and quad side exit exhaust. Dirty, worn-out, loud, original paint, not much rust, and lots of fun.

oldcarnut

Went ahead and made my covers.  Just need to add the breathers and oil filler after I get the engine assembled to see how best to do it.  The how I did it is here for those interested.

crome ring grill

I would love to see some more pics of this grill!

Here is my firewall block off plate on my 69!

gtx6970

99% of the people that see this will never catch all the custom work involved to make it happen.
custom plate fabbed up to mount the vintage air unit in the car,to avoid drilling holes in the firewall like Vintage Air wanted,,, custom brackets to mount the a/c condensor AND the trans cooler in ft of the radiator, custom made fuel lines from the pump to the carbs to clear the a/c stuff,
home made bracket to mount a non stock looking coil under the air cleaner. Custom made mounting bracket made to hide the ECU on the inside of the car without modifing the M+H supplied electronic ignition system conversion harness. All the A/C wiring is done independently of any and all OE wiring.

With exception to the welded in subframe connectors - Everything on this car was done so it can ALL be removed and no one would ever know it was there.
Made some custom mods to the subframe connector to allow the use of the factory  stock parking brake system

chrisII

ok, not for everyone, but here are my old 72 and 74

the 74 was my first muscle car, way to rotten to repair. it should never have been raced. the 72 was a no frills 318 drum brake car with the vin plate and drivetrain removed when i bought it for $75
