Brought the outside car color inside, have various pictures of the dash and carpet around the site. That Roadrunner engine compartment is stunning! :2thumbs:

dodgey68

does this count
no battery, made a new  section
no wire loom plug square hole,
fair few other ugly  holes
the rectangle holes near the suspension, for the adjustment
tidy enough considering i did it, should have got rid of the a/c original heater box and fitted an after market neater one, ah well do that next car
when all you own is a hammer, every job  resembles a nail.

Whose valve covers are those? Look like Edelbrock Elite Series but I don't see them for BB mopar.  I want to get something similar but make a clear top for them so the valve train can be seen.

1968_Charger

wouldn't a clear top on valve covers just get covered in oil so you couldn't see anything anyway? ive always thought it was a cool idea but it seemed to me that they would get covered in oil and defeat the purpose.  :shruggy:

Not nearly as much oil gets tossed around up there as you might think, have you ever ran an engine/ seen one run with no valve covers? Doesn't even make too much of a mess sometimes.

Here's one video I found: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ex9qKHd5l1E

And another, fun to stare at lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5fFEjPkXeo&feature=related

1968_Charger

hmmm. thats cool.  :2thumbs: i would have thought more oil than that gets thrown around in there. would be a cool mod if you had a nice set of rockers to show off. stocks are kinda ugly.

They are Edelbrock's Elite series.  They look like two piece covers but they're not.

Summit doesn't show the Elite series for big blocks, that's odd.  :scratchchin:

A set like that with the flat top surface would be the easiest to modify like the Vette in the 2nd link.  I also got an idea to do a clear 6 pack breather to go with it but that's way down the road.  Here's a pic of the dash I made.  The radio plate will get made after I figure out what is going in the space--radio, GPS, radar detector,  :shruggy:?  Its 11 gauge stainless then brush finished and clear coated.  Was able to get Richard Petty to sign it for me before I clear coated.   Some nice looking pics in this thread from everybody  :2thumbs:

I installed 3-point seat belts in the front of the Charger.

Here's a thread detailing the installation...

great job everybody!!! keep the custom pics coming!!!!

what about any radical custom work? for instance: chop top, suspension mods, tubs, shaved door handles

kamkuda

Drop the engine and move it back, there is less room for the headers.  An old Super Stock trick that a shop did for me.  Cut the shock towers to fit

Engine in,
Right side, Brake line thru inner fender, Hole for Procharger

Yes, The Coupe, The mufflers turned up, the clean x pipe, it is just really well done.

Did you ceramic coat the pipes?

CrAzYMoPaRGuY

EVERYTHING is ceramic coated- headers, pipes, mufflers and soon tailpipes....
