Hey gang..
Trying to help my step-son with some issues he has and want to be informed. He has a '09 1500 Ram. It's past the 36,000 miles default bumper to bumper, but within the 100,000 mile drivetrain warranty. He has a very bad leaky front differential pinion yoke seal. The differential is part of the drivetrain, but would the seal be part of the covered component? I know how manufacturers split hairs on what's covered and what's not. I've tried to google what's exactly covered, but haven't had any luck..

Thanks..
Troy

Troy, I believe we met in Pendleton, In. a few years back. About the only thing a powertrain warranty will not cover usually is the brake componets. I would think the seal would be covered. If you go to your dealer and they turn you down, try a different dealer. It's amazing the difference in warranty coverage, from shop to shop.

Think I got it answered via a little more googling..
