The journalist definitely doesn't understand women. (like any guy really does)
Obviously the only way he can get people to read his article is to print stupidity.

If you want a car that dosen't repel a woman....  CLEAN IT!!!!!

More useless "journalism"...

Here are a few of the choices I'd have to disagree with:

I was going to make a comment after the Nationals that every Viper must come standard with a model. It seemed like every one there had at least one reasonably hot young woman near it or in it. One race car also had what appeared to be a mother and grandmother helping out in the pits. The rest of the show was 99.9999% male.

If the writer had spent 1/10th of a second in any part of rural America he'd have also noticed that there are a fair amount of women who own, drive, and love big 4x4 trucks.

The Beetle is probably the #2 "chick car" after the Mazda Miata. If you're a guy and you're driving one you may very well be gay (it comes with a flower after all) but your girlfriends will still love riding around with you. The new one apparently doesn't have the same appeal.

They may be half right on the muscle cars - nearly everyone I know who has one is a male. However, the compliments come from all over (probably weighted towards males but not nearly as much as the ownership ratio). I tend to think most women would rather be a passenger than have to deal with driving/maintaining one.

Jeeps? The kind of girls I gravitate towards (outdoorsy, athletic, etc.) tend to drive these. Prissy girls with perfect hair will almost never be found in one.

This must have been all about bashing American cars since I didn't see a single foreign car other than the Volkswagen. What about mid-80s Volvos, Audis, and BMWs? What about 60s British cars? Anything from the mid-70s to the early 90s could have made the list (except possibly the exotics). It sounds like the author asked a few female acquaintances over lunch and decided to write a story. Honestly, most women (who aren't car buffs) can't even name any of the cars on the road so how they came up with some of those answers (without leading questions) is suspect.

I can't believe I just wasted that much time on something this ridiculous...

ok, thats it, i have to face the facts, from now on when i see a new thread i'm going to look for your input before i click a link and WASTE 5 MINS OF MY LIFE THAT I WILL NEVER EVER GET BACK, DAMN I COULD OF BEEN GOOGLING PORN OR SOMETHING SEMI IMPORTANT LIKE BODYSHOP BASICS OR SOMETHING
maybe we can get Troy to have a sticky of threads that may be questionable before we click a link to a pansy journalist and his Vulva(Volvo)
and if your gonna write an article that talks about musle cars, maybe it can actually have a pic of a muscle car instead of a v6 camero, maybe that was a muscle car to him??

I think the article is directed at the guy who owns the vehicle rather than the vehicle itself.

Just some examples:

A woman would look at a VW beetle and drive because it is "cute" and fun. Put a guy behind the wheel she would think of him as  :girlfight: and be turned off

A woman would see a guy driving a Viper and probably think he is old, bald and has small manhood

Women would be happy driving and owning a mini monster truck, but if they see a guy driving it would think he is already dating his sister

There are plenty of exceptions to the rule:

A guy who drives the VW beetle could be seen secure in "manhood" (the kind of guy that would wear a pink shirt) and settled in life which is attractive to some women

A guy who drives the Viper is loaded and ready to kick the bucket. The prospect of becoming rich quickly is attractive to some women (term "gold digger" may be appropriate in this instance

A guy who drives a mini monster truck could be her brother (need I say more  :icon_smile_big: )
Make it idiot proof, and somebody will make a better idiot!

If you think Education is difficult, try being stupid!

Jeep? That's all that women drive in Northern California. It's a chick car. msn is stupid.

come to Venezuela and is even worst... all 4x4 Vehicles are chick magnets here, Jeep, Toyotas newer version of FJ45 which I don't know the series number, Mitsu Monteros etc, EVEN RAISED!!!... HUMMERS TOO, but not because the car on this case, really because the economical status of the owner meaning ( pure money interest )...

on the list appears the new beetle. I still don't remember a man driving one of those locally, although not to many of those are riding around.

Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html
