I think the interior is  less appealing than stock :Twocents:

Why would you want to make a 71 look like a new Challenger? The chrome bumpers are a big part of the appeal of the classic version.
I think if they wanted the new look it would have been easier to cut the roof off a new one.

my first thought too. sure you can stick in the new motor and new suspension, even a new interior, but leave the body original.

Kern Dog

I'll group this in with the lowriders and sky high 4x4 trucks...... interesting to look at but I'd never do it to my own ride.

whatever

Unless it was a rusty bucket, I don't see the reason to make that experiment

The ONLY reason I would buy it (and not at the high dollar he is asking) would be to save and and restore it back to a correct-appearing '71.

I bet you this guy as a unbelievable amount of $$ in this already.    The interior is hideous!  Looks cool, but would never do it myself.  :Twocents:

All that beautiful work and the engine compartment sports a crusty master cylinder and that gawdawful accordian hose.  :shruggy:
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Marck

But why would you do that? I don't get it at all... Seems like at lot of time and thought sent in to the project though...  :shruggy:

IMO the best thing on the 71 is the grille.  Poor 71  :rotz:  :pity:

If I wanted a new Challenger....I'd buy a new Challenger.

Interior looks kind of old style, doesn't really mix with the car. Nice red!

How much $$$$ would it take to returb that to a 71 vert?

I love it.  I think the new challenger looks far too tall and skinny.  I can't get over how right that car looks.  I'll give you that the interior is a big fulgy,  71 interior would look better with maybe some modern seats...and maybe salvage the console. The dash and door panels are...um.. NO.

I don't see the crime if the seller is telling the truth that the car started out in rough shape.

Looks like someone fucked up a perfectly good '71 Challenger.
Just sayin'...
