HI ALL, SOMETHING OF INTEREST!

A girl  ran over an innerspring mattress on the  highway, and decided not to worry --  and kept on driving.
It caught on the  undercarriage etc of her Holden. The ensuing  jumble finally whipped around enough to  tear a hole in the fuel tank.

The  subsequent lack of fuel is what  finally brought her vehicle to its  knees.

She had managed to drive 50  kms, with a 25kg tangle of "stuff"  wrapped around her drive shaft.

She  had it towed to her Holden dealership, and  complained that the vehicle had a 'sort  of a noise' when she was driving at  high speeds.

One of our drivers had a similar occurance last fall. Truck in front of him dodged at the last second, he had no time to react. I didn't load that 1pm (scheduled load time) until nearly 8pm. Even after getting it all cut off the prop shaft, the additional unbalanced weight managed to destroy the bearings at both ends (gearbox and hog's head) . He ended up having to use another rig for a few days.

I had a Jeep Wrangler one time and driving home from work a matress was right in my lane on the 3 lane freeway and i had no where to turn at the last minute so i went right over it.  It was a box spring and i heard it crunch as i went over it.
