Well, I pretty much have my latest project finished.  All signatures are accounted for except for the ellusive Tom Wopat.  He is the only one from the surviving cast of the original Dukes of Hazzard that I am missing on my door panel that was used in the Dukes of Hazzard Movie which I got through Wayne Wootten.  I am still looking for a decent (but not too perfect) upper door panel to add to finish off this piece.  Let me know what you think!  PS - thanks to Bill Mann with the help for the inner door frame!  It made a nice solid piece to add to the dimensional effect instead of having just a flat piece on the wall!

Bill, glad you like it.  If it wasn't for you selling that inner door frame, it probably would have just stayed in its cardboard box till I could figure out what to do with it!

Pretty cool, a bit surprised to see resq302 with such a piece though... First time I've seen Sheriff Littles signature, quite cool, and Tom always seems like he'd rather put the Dukes days behind him.

R.I.P to the cast and crew whom have since departed this life. You are missed..

440, why are you surprised that I have that?  Im a huge dukes of hazzard fan.  Heck, if my chargers body wasnt in the condition it was in when I got it 11 years ago and it needed to have body work and a repaint... chances are I would be having a General Lee right now.  But as luck would have it, the body was straight and the paint was exceptionally nice.  I must admit, I wouldn't mind owning a Gen. Lee or one of the Hazzard County Police Cars though at some point in my life.  I uess you could say that I am a collector of DOH stuff.  My wife, when we were dating got me every version of the Gen. Lee die cast that was made.... the black one, the gold one, the brushed silver one, the Gen. Lee under resto, one with mud sprayed up all over the body, and even a couple with signatures of the cast on it.

hey i think i have an upper driver door pad.  you would definiely have to recover it cause I think I peeled it apart.  I don't know.  I'll check when I get home if you want.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

resq302

Mike, it can be cracked or anything like that.  As long as it does not look too, too bad.  If it needs to be glued back together, that would even be fine with me.  The arm rest is split in one area which I am ok with since the door panel is a little banged up from when I guess they jumped the car or something.  The polished trim has dents and scratches and such also so it adds to the overall "original" used appearance of the thing.

1. buy a black sharpie marker
2. look at sigs in pictures
3. grasp marker in writing hand
4. Tom Wopat "signs" pad

Happiness ensues!!

well...... if you want to go it about that way.... I have actually two cast pics signed by him.  One with all 3 like you have and one with John and Tom signed.  Besides, I don't want to be accused of any forgery, "fake" signatures, photo copies, etc.  We all see how fast stuff like that spreads when it comes to Mopars.  Just look at the Mopar 10 thread.
