I am new to the MOPAR world.  I am helping my son on his first car he purchased, a 69 Charger general Lee.  It has the Vector wheels.  I was told it had to have a spacer for these wheel, but it makes funny noise on the front like it is binding in a spot, similar to a bad golf cart spacer or bearing going out. I don't like the idea of a spacer, especially since we are about to install a 440 motor.  SO, does he have to have the spacers?  Also, are there cars that are available for these wheels?

Thanks for your help.

spacers are used when the backspacing isnt correct. if the backspacing isnt correct the wheel could be rubbing on the suspension somewhere. youll have to just look at it and see if its hitting anywhere.

it's probably the spacer making the noise. what kind of vectors are on the car.  are they mopar bolt pattern to begin with or are they those universal vectors?
need more info and pictures would be great.
