Small Victory...

Well...   It is a small personal victory for me...    I have been looking to start making more parts for my car but just was limited in tools...     but today I purchased a decent size milling machine.   :icon_smile_big:

So...      now only if I can find a smallish Lathe...    the creative juices are already flowing      :D

It is a benchtop model - decent size for anything I'll be doing...    I didn't feel the need to buy a giant Bridgeport or something of that nature...      The old man I bought it from was a machinist and showed me his latest creation (a 40mm cannon)  haha

So - not to buy some tooling and get started...

the Lathes from Harbor Freight are actually pretty decent little tools...   I don't own one (next on my list) -  I missed out on a 7x12 model last weekend for $100...     but I figure the mill would be really useful for making brackets and small accessories -

Milling metal is a skill I don't have but admire. When it comes to wood milling, I can make cords of kindling.  :smilielol:
