Sold my Plymouth bought a Porsche

So I sold my Valiant because it was boring and wanted some more fun that got better fuel mileage. So I bought a 1986 Porsche 944. It is in great condition just had the clutch and timing belt done but needs a water pump. Enjoy the pictures. It had a 2.5L I4 with 150hp, a transaxle, and 50/50 weight distribution. Should be fun

I almost pulled the trigger on a 928s a few years ago , alum 5l in front & 5 spd transaxle in the rear . chickened out ,figured I would not be able to afford to fix it !!

A friend had a 928 in college.  It was a fun drive!

 The guy across the street inherited his buds' 928GT - it needed part of an an exhaust system - that was Approx. $2K about ten years back.. he sold it and bought a nice used Chevy truck.

Fun cars to drive, up untill you have to pay to fix anything major

Friend of mine used to have a 928 and he beat the snout out of that car for about 3 years. I think he had the oil changed maybe 2 or 3 times. Otherwise he did nothing to it. Once he finnaly broke it ( If I remember right the timing belt or water pump went out of it ( it's been a while )

He sold it for about half what he paid for it and bought a vette and the beatings started all over

The dark stuff around the wheels is that clear plastic rock guard stuff, basically a vinyl sticker. Parts actually aren't too bad the labor is what kills you. Hopefully its a fun car that gets decent mileage.

Thats the way I felt about my boat.  Loved it when I bought it, celebrated when I saw the damn thing being pulled out my driveway with someone elses truck.

I did pull the trigger on an '87 928 S4, the previous owner (a Mopar guy) warned me that every time it had to go to the dealer you can figure on spending a grand...boy was he right.

Very complex car, I describe it as 10 pounds of stuff in a 5-pound bag...every nook and cranny has some sort of electronic do-dad stuffed in it.

Still, a great car...kept until I got Viper fever.
