Any hvac people out there?

We are still looking at putting in the new furnace but also want to do central air soon. I'm not sure what brands etc are good or bad.
I've heard that you want to avoid a couple of brands because to can't spray them off to clean or something??

Anybody do hvac or know this stuff?

A friend of mine put a new Carrier in for me in 2000. Still doing good.
