its cool for sure....But the red carpet has to go and if the drive shaft dosent fall out of the tranny the whole shebang may drop out of the bottom with the amout of rust on the cross member bolts.

IMO, the 35 might be okay..

Vega rear window..
Driveshaft..
No rear chrome around tail lights..
Rusty bolts on cross member but pretty clean floor pan ( hmmmm<?>  )
No head lights or close to correct head light asseys...

unless you are doing the labor your self there is no way you could build that nice of a daytona clone for under 50 k  ,    yes it has a few issues  but its much better then alot of the examples out there ,

I agree with you Stuart.  The reserve may be near 50k but in this economy, I will be surprised if bidding goes over 35k.  Five years ago this car may have fetched 75k

That is an easy fix AB/E sells both lenses and bezels.  I am not sure you could do it for 35k doing the work yourself after buying the starter car??

I think the Petty Blue small block Daytona would be fun and seems to be priced right.  As for 75K on the black one, I will be surprised if he comes close to that.  Five years ago 75K would not surprise me at all.

that looks like a nice car but the small block is killing him resale wise . to get good money for a daytona clone it has to have a 440 or a hemi . it's cool to have other engines but for resale those are the ones that sell .

with the work done to the blue car and the ease of transplanting a big block, i wish i was in a position to jump on it, hope he gets what he wants

the seller can accept the high bid at auction end, regardless of the reserve being met or not. it could be set at some crazy number, just to see what kind of bidding it provokes.

I agree 100%, I think when the owner started building or having it built 75K was a very fair price.  I am glad I don't neeed to sell any of my cars in this economy!  If he did have it built I bet he has more than 75k in it

Nice car - I'm not too fond of the red interior, it's just too red, I would feel I'm in a VW bug Also, the engine bay and engine is not detailed enough for the price he wants. Are the headlights functional? Regardless of what you put into something it is only worth what the market will bring.
