I dont know what your original factory interior colours or trim options were Dane, but I think its pretty cool going for buddy seat and velour insert in an otherwise sea of black interiors everywhere else. Not everyones taste but definetly standing out from the crowd in a good way
Nice one, looking great  :2thumbs:

Daytona Guy

Thanks guys.

I did not want vinyl because all I did was slide around and is clammy and cold, plus they tend crack along the stitching (leather acts the same). Suede leather was an option, but that looks good for a while, then mats down and collects dirt. So this was my option. Looks a little more cheezy in a pic than in person, it blends in really well.

This was a factory 70 Rally Red with black interior car. Love the 70 seat, and with the insets you really stay in your seat and are very comfortable. This has the 6 way adjustable driver seat – never knew they had this option. Kind of quirky to adjust, but they do work. I can tilt back, lean forward, raise and lower, and front to back – all mechanical. Very weird, after all, they had electric adjustable 6 way seats long before this in their luxury lines. I love white interior, and I had that in a B5 blue Daytona I had, but the only thing with the white is that you had to have a black dash and carpet and package tray. Too much monochrome for me on this build. I know this looks like my Yellow Daytona's interior, but it isn't. These are two completely different colors – has a darker tone to it. I wanted to go for a more luxurious feel when I sit in the car. I have four different layers of insulation – this will be a loud car outside and relatively quiet on the inside :)

Oh, another thing, has anyone ever had this happen? I put something on my consul one time and was driving around, then I had to break and the thing (can't remember what is was) I place on my consul slid forward and knocked my car in neutral. I guess that will not happen on this car – ha ha.

I feel like this build will never end – aaaaaaaaaaa

I got the hood on and found out one of the hinges were bad - aaaaa - So waiting for the new ones to come paint and mount. Cutting the paint - next week is looking like a reality for a functional state. Can't wait for a photo session.

Whoever done the bodywork done a great job :drool5:  Did you hook the hemi up to a washing machine?  Looks like someone done laundry in the engine bay

Ha ha - keeping the engine bay from flying polish, and going through towel after towel color sanding.

Dane, That thing is looking awesome! Gives me some inspiration to keep on track with mine!!  :2thumbs:
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

Daytona Guy

Getting closer - still waiting on the hood and hinges - detail work now...

Where's the exhaust exit?

Bryan

Into the cabin :) I have them off to get ready and mount them. I'm looking for a strap clamp. Out the back in other words.

Is that 3" straight into the cabin or is it restricted down to 1" right before it enters?   :icon_smile_wink:

Yes, down to 1" - that way it blows by my hair faster - born to be wild.

Well once again you have achieved a very sexy beast of a mopar. My only pet-peave is you setting the machine buffer on the car while doing so..ugh..ha ha... :icon_smile_big:
Great job Dane!

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

Daytona Guy

More pics - new stuff - Under hood pic show plenty of clearance - If someone has problems with hood clearance with HEMI's contact me - Ive got the answer.  Legendary is not too swift - didn't cut out for armrest in the back seats - OK - don't want'em. The the snap clips are not even close. Quality control does not exist in any company any more. Sad.

Yah, I'm going to see how that works - it is called go-then-steer. Engine bay not detailed yet, but the fitment is awesome.

This is a pic of my yellow Daytona last fall right before it was stored for the winter. Needing to give it a little love.

Change yellow to purple, I'll sell mine and buy yours

Awesome car!
I even polished my wiper motor as you did...I had no idea it would take a shine until you posted photos of yours.

Daytona Guy

Good buffing wheel and that blue aluminum polish and walla - You can do that to your brake master lid too :)

Some rough pics, but got it out to turn it around - hopefully functionally ready in a week.

I can't get over how this blue looks nothing like these pics show it as. In the sun - blue just washes out. It looks Petty Blue, but it is not even close. It's not a photogenic color I think. In person it is so much more brilliant.

Dane.
