of course the holleys are not stock but the picture may give you an idea on how much more clearence you have when using a 3 speed motor, i made a differant air cleaner for this car when using the holleys, differant spacing, larger ventury opening, fuel inlet differant, these are blueprinted custom built 750 holleys

Thanks for the help guys -

Off the topic - What are the TQ specs for the flex plate bolts for the HEMI?

Dane

JB400

Service manual says 55 ftlbs for the flexplate to crankshaft bolts on a 383/440.  I'd say the hemi should be the same. It wasn't listed

ernie

426 hemi specs crankshaft to flywheel/flexplate 70 ft lbs  flexplate to convertor 65lbs

ernie

remember that is for stock type fasteners ARP  or any other aftermarket fastener you should follow the manuafactor ( of the fastener) guidelines and specifications

Got to pull the two speed - does not leave room. Have to get a 3 speed. I do not like the 3 speed, they just look ugly and unfinished. O-well.

no way a 3 speed wiper motor looks great way better than a 2 speed

ernie

a correctly finished 3 speed wiper motor lends class to an engine compartment the lay down style look very good clean neat functional also note they use diffearnt linkage  arms( under dash) than a 2 speed motor and a differant angled pivot assembly( mounted to the motor where the arms attach) and they plug directly into the main bulhead and use a diffearnt switch

Great - I have the dash in and do not have the other arms (it still has air). I thought they were the same. I have a 3 speed motor but it is very ugly. I like how it lays down, but the smeared red stuff is a blob of ugly even on the nice restored ones, sorry. But I have a 3 speed dash, and I installed the 2 speed motor and it worked fine. What gives?

the dash is the same, the switch is differant and the arms underthe dash( the linkage) is diffearnt on a 3 speed system IIRC as is the small angled part that goes on the motor itself, a 2 speed motor will work with a 3 speed switch just not the other way, i can not rememeber exactly what the differance is in the linkage arms but they are marked 2 speed and 3 speed IIRC, you might be able to get it to work with the 3 speed motor and  2 speed switch and the 2 speed arms? i just have never tried that combo but you might be able to get it done, a/c  should not have any thing to do with the linnkage  those are not hard parts to come by the small angled arm for the 3 speed wiper is getting hard to find sometimes they are on the motors sometime not, also you could make a small round aluminum insulated cover for the "red smear area" it could be mounted so as not to touch the wires and provide air gap between the back of the insulated cover and the wires, polish it up and put your daytona logo on it! might look good

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

I meant that the AC crap is in the way to get to the motor arms under the dash. There is NO WAY you can get to the motor arms without going through the dash - if not removing the radio - and even then it is next to impossible to reach the Motor. Anyway - I have to replace the motor - so who is the guy I need to reach? Is there any better contact info for "Julius"?

There may be a diff - but they will both function - because my car is a 3 speed (stock) wire harness - and has the 3 speed arms. I put on and ran a 2 speed motor. They may use a shorter (short) arm for faster speeds (stronger motor) with three speed arms. So both speeds on my car (with a two speed motor) would be really fast and would most likely shorten the life of the motor?

So is this a good deal 225.00? for this one through P4M?

the valve covers on the charger are custom made, they are stage five valve covers with a bit of extra work done on them, interior of cover is clearnce for valve train and also has provisions for pvc with oil baffels and also they have a type of channel on the edge for better seal and the area round the spark plug tube is machined for an oring  and then the wire guied were added and wrinkle finished i wanted a stock look the motor is an all alunminum keith black big inch very rumbly, just wanted it to look 100% stock
