My Road Runner won Best of Show and * People's Choice * at the Miraflores Winery Show on Sunday 8-21. The award was three bottles of their top of the line Syrah, Zin, and Viognier wines. Way better than a trophy. And it was a free show to boot!

It is a great venue and they have great wines. I have to pimp for them - http://www.mirafloreswinery.com - they delivered tons of hospitality, it was a free no-entry cost show, they had a very good Santa Maria BBQ, two excellent bands, and the lunch was free for the car owners (and just $10 for your guests). I have never had anything like this happen.

Miraflores is just outside Placerville California. It's a spectacular setting in the Foothills, and their buildings are awesome, like the wine. Next year they may have an entry fee, but it will still be a first rate event. It would be great to get a group of Northern CA and Reno folks together to attend. I will post info in 2012 when they set a date.

Sorry, no good pics from the show. My camera sort of went south. There was a fine 68 Charger, otherwise mostly GM (this is Chevy country), although for once there was a good dose of Fords. Here is what's really cool: the 33 cars that pre-registered had their names and rides printed on the back of the event t-shirts. The shirts were $25 but a great creative idea, and frankly reasonable since the wine, show, food and bands were free.

Miraflores Winery is one of the good guys and real car friendly. Check them out when in Northern California.

That is terrific Dan and very well deserved! Your car has to be seen to really appreciate what you've done with it, a pic just doesn't cut it. It won't be too llong before Frank is following you! ;D We'd like a heads up on next year's show too. Sounds like a great venue and not your usual car show. We're there. Congrats Dan"

Very nice! Garnering the Best of Show" and "Peoples Choice" awards with a Mopar in a sea of "other" brands is a splendid coup. Also, would you guys please get cameras that work?  :brickwall:  You're killing us! ("Dave? Dave?" "Dave's not here....")    :icon_smile_wink:

Dan, so you WANT pics of chevys??  :smilielol:

It's the battery that crapped out. I'll get a second one as a backup.

The Charger was owned by Mike from Placerville, it was Vitamin C with a white interior and white tail stripes, a 440 6-pack RT. Very sharp. I didn't get to talk with him much, or to find out if he'll be at any Mopar shows in the future. It's the only car I would have taken a pic of anyway. The rest were Brand X and "too pretty" (my wife's description).  :D
