I'll throw in a $500 finders fee if you don't want it. I own some property about an hour away (phelps) from you so I could kill two birds with one stone on the trip to come get it.

Are you kidding me?  You should already have this car bought and in your garage before even telling us about it!   :drool5:  :drool5:  :drool5:  That car is $15,000 all day long on ebay..... :Twocents:

That pic looks like it was taken in 1980. :scratchchin: I'd keep that magic camera for shooting retro pics.

is it just me or does this sound fishy? I wanna see more pictures - that picture looks way too old.

The picture at the top of this thread was taken in the 1970's.  The dis-coloration and weathering is common in film of that era.  It does not happen overnight.  I smell BS.

it's does sound kind of awkward cause you said the car was parked in the garage , so the lady let you pull the car out of the garage to take a photo   :shruggy:

38k miles, rust free, $2500...seems fishy to me.

I'm going to be even more pissed if this is just a joke  :flame:  proof is in the pudding.  We need more pudding.

I am a professional photographer and I know what a scanned old photograph looks like and this one has all the marks of one.  The scanner magnifies any dust spots, scratches, dirt on the original photo and the tears at the edges, but the most damning thing are the crooked white borders at the left top and bottom.

Benji

PS Just in case you may think I'm blowing smoke with my claim that I am a  "professional photographer" I've posted below a shot of a young lady I photographed last week in my studio.

Dans 68

Yes, it is a scanned image, as it was taken with a film camera as described in the original thread. That was never in question. I'm still hopeful that the story is true but I'm noticing discrepancies in the image...as "where is the 2nd exhaust pipe?"  :scratchchin:

Be cool if it was true. Maybe he took the pic and is currently getting it developed and the wife gave him an old pic of the car that she had to take with him which he scanned in and posted?   :shruggy:
