CornDogsCharger

Here's my '66 Charger.  I'm all for matching the body color with the wheels... except the cop car wheels.  To me, the cop car wheels look funny on cars if they are painted anything other than black... too many holes.  That's just my opinion.

After all that's been said, can anybody tell me why this Charger has hubcaps on black wheels?

69 Roadrunner at Woodward Cruise with Black Steelies. LEON.

I vote color. I have a set of black police wheels, they look good with the raised white letters below, but I'm going to be shopping for a set of 15 inch steelies soon. I'll powder coat them green and fit a set of redlines to go with the dog dishes.

Any recommendations on where to get a set of 15 inch steelies?

I also have a set of the correct 14 inch steelies here.

I prefer Body Color myself. Thats why I got them on my car. LEON.

Nacho-RT74

I like them A LOT body color matched... although with nice dod dish hubcaps, black looks nice too...

HOWEVER... in both options with POLISHED OUTER TRIM

I do like both body-color and black steelies but, my Charger came with black steelies and deluxe wheelcovers so, that is what it will have.  Unless I put another wheel altogether on it. Still thinking about it but I will have to make a decision soon !

Musicman

Depends on the vehicle, and the paint scheme really..., but in general I think body color looks best with the dog dishes... with or without trim.

The standard wheel on a T/A is the black 15x7 Hemi "450" steel wheel with doggies and trim rings. Optional on the T/A is the 15x7 Rallye wheel.

The AAR was  15x7 Rallye wheel only.

There is still an argument as to which of the above received what kind of trim ring - brushed or polished.

Thanks Chris  :2thumbs: I'll take a look at their website.

I bought a set of Magnum 500's off them about 5 years ago, and the black paint started flaking off after 3 months. I'll get the steelies powdwer coated
