I'm not defending the guy & I am not a bigot at all, unless maybe not liking Japanese, Korean & Chinese cars & other imported products is bigoted... I grew up with 5 sisters & in a largely minority area & judge people on face value not race, country of origin or sex... I just found some humor, in some of his posts & I'm sure there are others here that think the bashing of others when they are no longer around to defend themselves is totally wrong also, sounds kind of hypocritical, I guess we can agree to disagree...  I would tend to agree with the knowledge statement though, just my humble opinions & you know what they say about opinions, there like a-holes everyone has 1... I guess I'm a hypocrite also...

I think it would be that kid in Florida that had the 69 RT that he was pretty much cobbling up and when someone would give them "help" that he was asking for he would bitch saying his 25 year old buddy with 30 years experience new more than anyone else on this site... Ok maybe that's an exaggeration but you get the point.

  I had no problem with him other than maybe bad judgement this one time, and I sure as hell won't be jumping on the "good riddance" band wagon. 

He has a good sense of humor which a lot of people don't have and I for one don't think it deserves a permanent ban.

I don't recall the Katrina topic, (I'm sure I'll live without it) but I can assure you there were many other dim bulb, bigot-racist ones that are gone now since they were bad enough to be deleted, not just locked. I sent dickhead a polite PM many months ago suggesting to him that posting the stuff he did would chase members from the site. It's obvious he doesn't give a rat's ass judging by his reply & the posts that followed. There was someone on this site who I had met personally at Carlisle who is now gone because a rant about rap music that took a huge racist turn.

Context is the key. Someone like the comedian Don Rickles, who's been a favorite of mine for years, cracks jokes about race & manages to do it in a comedic way without inciting race riots. Dickhead is no Don Rickles.

Did I see the guys other post you are referring to, nope. Are they as bad as you say, they may have been.  But I also know the PC police is very active on this board.  What you consider offensive, some may not care less about.  My grandma still considers Elvis offensive, and can not understand why people watch such garbage.

He may have or may not have been a racist but his whole purpose to be here seemed to be to stir up controversy or contention with anyone and everyone .   To that end he pissed off alot of people and got locked up or deleted alot of good threads .
