i had surgery on my shoulder this morning.  my rotator cuff was less than 40% torn so they did not need to sew it.  They grinded a bone that was irritating the shoulder, claened up some cacium from my cooar bone and moved my bicep tendon that was being impenged.  prett doped up and will probably be in pain for several weeks but after that i hope to be able to sleep through the night void of pain.

I had a similar injury from football back in my youth 1977, separated shoulder rotater cuff & torn tendons & trapesium & deltiod muscles (spelling on body parts ?), that hold the shoulder in socket... I feel your pain, still to this day, if I sleep wrong on it, or cold weather can really effect it at times... Good luck with your recovery...

Get well soon, but until then, keep your finger on the button until the nurse shows up.   :Twocents:

Are you a blue collar guy?
This sort of thing can be a real pisser. I hope that it heals quickly and that you can return to work as soon as you wish.
I can guess that since you were able to type, maybe you can still surf around while recovering.
Oh... For your sake, I hope that the injury wasn't to your wiping arm.

I am a school teacher.  School starts Thursday and my doctor apointment is Tuesday the 23.  I hope to go back to school after that.  I imjured it in may at wrestling practice, so it is my first ever workmans comp.  The funny thing is they wouldn,t approve my MRI until I had 6 weeks of therapy, so I could have had this over the summer and not missed any days.  Last night was a rough night for pain.  I am not looking foreward to my therapy this morning :brickwall:

I see where your trying to make it to the central Mopar Reunion on the 20th, if you need any help loading or anything I work overnights at the Downtown airport (Cahokia) and it wouldn't be a problem for me to stop by Friday night before work, or after work Saturday morn, I get off at 6am, go in at 10. Good luck with rehab. Dave

Is it just me or does it seems that a lot of people are having this surgery lately? I guess it's the in thing to do  :shruggy:

(or everybody know is getting old).

Hope you are feeling better soon. The good thing is the short-term pain and recovery is worth it.
