Hey! Where did you get that ICON ! THATS original and funny.
Your assessment of me is incorrect. Big surprise. To be accurate, you'd really need to get to know me. I respond with my opinions whether good or bad. Maybe you have only read the criticism and not the compliments? If I think that a member has the English skills of a drooling mullethead, I write it as I see it. If there are posts from people with originality and creativity, I respond with compliments. Sure, it may be annoying at times, but would you want to walk around all day with a blob of snot on your face or would you prefer that someone lets you know so you can DO something about it?
Sure, there are members here that just want to log on and see whats up. They post a few times a day and their spelling is okay. They try to help on tech stuff and have interesting things to add to a topic. These people are rarely in my crosshairs. They are just decent guys.  THEN....There are the sheep. The repeaters. The drones that merely echo a phrase that has long lost its luster. These guys do NOT understand that many jokes have a very SHORT life. These guys are as funny as the idiot that asks" Hey, is it HOT enough for you?"  in the blazing summer heat. I realize that being creative is a gift. Not everyone has the natural ability to string together a sentence that makes sense AND is funny.

I decided to use the "breakfast" line here because it seems to be "de rigueur" anytime someone posts about a death.

Proving that even with the use of a 5 dollar word, you still are a follower instead of an innovator.

A common mistake.  First of all, "de rigueur" is a French expression...therefore you have to appraise it in Euros.  This makes it a seven Dollar and thirteen cent expression based on current exchange rates.

In addition, one must consider the provenance of the word when determining value.  In much the same way that a Charger purchased at Grand Spaulding Dodge would be worth more than an identical Charger purchased anywhere else...the fact that I used this word automatically gives it a higher value.

I would estimate that "de rigueur" would fetch at least 9 dollars at auction.
I ain't got time for pain, the only pain I got time for is the pain i put on fools how don't know what time it is.

Eric Church - Homeboy

Awesome song and a great video.. It amazes me how many people actually think it's racist. All they have to do is listen to the song instead of making a fool out of themselves.

What is wrong with you man? Get a life and stop bitching about other peoples replies in almost every topic!
You must be one of those guys that have nothing to say in the real world because you are being dominated by someone.

I have used spell check after typing this and it said it was o.k. for me to post and for you to read...  :fu:

This might cause a lock but too bad.

You know, I'm not one to jump on anyones band wagon, but I gotta agree with Lennard here. You're right on the money.

Red 70 R/T 493, you're not any damn higher up on the food chain than anyone else here. Give it a break.

I like this. Pretty cool. Spent much time in France or are you Canadian?

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

Country music was murdered recently after a long battle with mediocrity.

Nope, it was stillborn.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Yea, I think he sold you short too. I was going to say it's probably at least a $7.50 word but then because it's from France, therefore imported, it would probably fetch about $10. Were it in Italian I would say it'd be worth $13 or more.

I just heard on the news that the stage at the Indy State Far was blown over during the Sugaland set.

doctor4766

Wow

Perhaps a dozen people were injured tonight when a stage collapsed in strong winds prior to a severe thunderstorm at the Indiana State Fair.

Medics and rescue crews throughout Indianapolis were converging on the State Fairgrounds, 1202 E. 38th St., after Hoosier Lottery Grandstand stage rigging for an outdoor concert collapsed trapping and injuring fans. Fallen lighting rigging extended about 15 feet onto track, where some concert-goers were seated between the stage and the grandstand.
Thousands of people attending the Sugarland concert were being evacuated when the rigging for the stage fell onto the track were some were seated.

Scanner says they set up a triage unit on the fairgrounds to prep people for transit to the hospital. The dozen estimate is likely off.

Brock Samson

where some were seated. hope they're all OK!  :scratchchin:

There are deaths. Reports are all over the place, but 4 seems to be the most common number.

nh_mopar_fan

I don't see many country acts.

Saw Garth because my ex wanted to. Martina McBride opened.
Saw Sugarland because Kristian Bush used to be in a band called Billy Pilgrim that I really like.

Tomorrow, I'm seeing this guy. Should be fun.

Love Dwight's music. It's very unique.

Shame to hear there were deaths at the Sugarland concert.
Our hearts go out to all of the innocent victims.

Dwight Yokum is pretty good, you can definitley tell that Buck Owens was his inspiration in his music.

Was Sugarland out on the stage when this happened? I haven't seen anything about them yet.

I started listening to country music in the early 90's after all the 80's hair band crap made me  :puke:
I saw the progression to the pop country start when Shaina Twain's hubby turned her in to a female version of Def Leppard (he was their producer for their biggest albums). The crap that is churned out by Taylor Swift, Sugarland, Toby and others has caused me to permanently turn off my radio. There are some country songs with the pop hook that I like, Brooks and Dunn/Red Dirt Road, but those are few are far between.

BTW, you guys that are bickering back and forth, take it to the PM's. I'm tired of see threads locked over shit like this.
