Well on a good note Year One made good on their word of sending me another set.

"Tyler" promised me this set would be "inspected" by hand for a matching set before going out.....NOT.

Opened the box & exactly like the first set, the third cap down was the bastard cap....again!!!

Long story short, I took one of the SS ones out of the new set & sent back the 2 crappy aluminum ones along with the other 2 SS ones.

I now have a full set of SS caps....all is right with the world.

Sent Mike from BE/A a PM on Moparts about the YO replacement set being the same....read it & never replied.  Didnt think he would :rotz:

So between the 2 sets you received and the set Randr mentioned he received with similar issues, this sure appears to be more than a simple mistake.

Yep, and it also feels like its not going to get solved any time soon, and unsatisfactorily to boot.

The funny thing is that it seems like "I" am the only one who complains/notices these things?   :scratchchin:

Same crap happened with the repro headrests they offer....when I got my set they "looked" nice but when you put them into the seats they sat too far down in the seat.  Called Mike on it and said no way...I've sold tons of these & no one else complained...I was the first :rotz:

After about a month of set, after different set Mike asked me to send him one of my originals to match up.  Turns out the posts were inserted too far into the headrest itself causing the short appearance.   I even got him to make the correct gasket for the underside of the headrest....his originally came with a crappy slab of vinyl glued to the bottom to cover the molding hole.

My original headrest is on the left....middle was getting closer....right was the first one he sent me....sheesh... :slap:

Advertised as ssteal and you get an aluminum one that sucks. We all have to stand up to these sellers and send the parts back. It will work the way down the line, and the manufactures will learn you cant skip on a Mopar enthusiast.
It is so disappointing to see bad quality repro parts.

yeah -  I am lucky enough if I need any of those caps I can go down to Classic Industries and inspect them all before I take them home.

looks like i was lucky in getting a matching set back in march from year one ! :o
its awesome stuff that all these repop parts are being made !!  going back 22 years when i got mine !! would never imagined  all this stuff would be available ,
but why go to all that trouble of producing the parts, ((& thankfull there are company's out there that do ! don't get me wrong !)))   , but  when  many of them are not right , either by fit , look , etc etc  , if your going to reproduce a part !! why the hell cant you make it like the originals ! technology has come leaps & bounds in 40 plus years !  i'm getting a bit carried away now & moved on from hub caps & headrests   :slap: , but if your going to make the stuff make it right ! not nearly  :Twocents:  , wonder if the chebby & ford mob have this problem  :shruggy: :popcrn:
not trying to stir anything up !
