Continuing with the long standing tradition of personal interpretation of a design, I submit for your approval - one Topless Charger redeux.

Designed by Murray Pfaff of http://www.pfaffdesigns.com/
and built by Performance Restorations of Mundelein, IL.

This is the same designer that penned the '59 Imperial Speedster of note.

It's very similar to the Alexander Brothers' built "Topless Charger" also known as the "Engel Charger", but obviously an extension of that mindset.

Interesting.  I've seen a few of these over the years and haven't cared much for the other efforts but this one looks like it may be a little sharper.

The retro mod look of a convertible Charger is totally cool. The final version should be EXACTLY like the artist rendering spoilers, scoops and all.

So far, I think its a pretty cool concept but I don't see the same body work from the drawing so..... it might not have the same flavor... :popcrn:

Nice looking concept, but I am not a fan of cutting up a relatively low miles R/T to do it.

I think one of the nicest things about 2nd gens is the shape of the roof and back window,so i'm personally not a big fan about charger convertibles.
It doesn't look bad though, but why? :shruggy:
There are plenty nice convertibles or speedsters for sale out there. So if you want to drive one,buy a challenger, cuda, mustang, camaro or anything, and they are probably much cheaper too than this one.

totally agree there are enough rust buckets out there no reason/need to molest a low miles R/T

It's funny that you included a link to the 59 Imperial Speedster as well.  The design is very cool.  Now I'm regretting selling the ol 59.  Oh well.  Forces me to focus on the 70 RT.

x2.

I like the tail end (except the "over exagurated" fin), the quarter panel flutes and the overall effort involved.

I do not like the front spoiler and the fact it has no roof  :icon_smile_big:
Make it idiot proof, and somebody will make a better idiot!

To each their own but I have never seen a Charger convertible that looked....right. For me the body style just doesnt lend itself very well for one.
